This was an 8 month project in a custom C++ engine. It was also my first truly multi-disciplinary project, with a dedicated team of artists, designers, programmers, and a composer.

The game is a platformer about a rabbit escaping a rising tide of ink. They must jump, dash, wall run, and bounce their way away from the ink and towards freedom!

In terms of programming, I worked as an audio and gameplay programmer. I implemented FMOD, helped with the UI and movement systems, worked on the ink wave behavior, and a bunch of smaller gameplay features. I was the primary prototyper on the project, building 1 off hazards and concepts that designers came up with before most of them got scrapped.

But I was also the producer for this project! I had to organize task lists for 4 different sub teams, set and maintain milestone goals, lead team meetings, oversee builds and installers… all the fun administrative stuff a team of 12 needed! I also worked with Mars Jurich to polish the game over the summer of 2020, and worked solo in the spring of 2022 to finish it off for steam publication.
